Cempasúchil

This series was shot between Oaxaca and the Pacific coast in Mexico. The photographs capture the essence of a region whose character cannot be reduced to a single motif, but is instead composed of landscape, everyday culture and casual observations. The result is a portrait that is both tranquil and vibrant. Precise in its focus, open in its atmosphere and underpinned by a visual language that creates a sense of closeness without intruding on the foreground.
